The Laser Research Centre (LRC) at the Vilnius University Faculty of Physics supervises several Master's programs dedicated to training specialists in laser physics and optical technologies. Our goal is to educate high-level professionals capable of developing and utilizing modern laser technologies in practice.


Laser Technology

 

Designed to produce European-level specialists, this program equips students to tackle scientific and industrial challenges through effective problem analysis and solution implementation. Graduates can work independently or in teams within laser technology firms and research labs, applying the latest scientific advancements in Lithuania. They are also prepared for further doctoral studies. Enrolling 14 students in 2024, the program focuses on the practical applications of laser technologies across various industries.

Laser Physics and Optical Technologies

 

This program trains highly qualified specialists to analyze and solve scientific, technological, and industrial problems. Students learn to identify key issues, evaluate solutions, and lead research teams, preparing them for roles in scientific labs and optical technology companies. They gain up-to-date knowledge in science and technology, enabling them to implement innovations in Lithuania and pursue doctoral studies. With 16 students enrolled in 2024, the program emphasizes advanced laser physics and optical technology development.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree EUROPHOTONICS

Since 2019, the LRC has been a partner in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree EUROPHOTONICS program. This international Master's program offers advanced courses in:

  • Quantum Optics
  • Laser Optics
  • Optics for Astronomy
  • Nanophotonics
  • Biophotonics
